Past-Life Regression

An unusual kind of guided exploration for people who are curious about what the mind might reveal when we allow it to follow a different path.

What the Experience Involves

Past-life regression uses hypnosis and guided exploration to invite experiences that may take the form of scenes, people, places, emotions, bodily sensations or a sense of simply knowing something.

Sometimes what emerges feels vivid and memory-like; sometimes it is fragmentary, symbolic or difficult to define. There is no particular kind of experience you are expected to have.

I don’t assume what these experiences are or where they come from. The interest is in what emerges and what, if anything, it comes to mean for you.

Why Someone Might Be Curious

People come to past-life regression for very different reasons.

Some are simply curious about what the experience might reveal. Others are drawn to it because of a recurring feeling, image, relationship pattern or sense of familiarity they cannot easily explain.

You do not need to believe that what emerges is literally a past life. You may understand it spiritually, psychologically, symbolically, imaginatively — or simply as an interesting experience.

What matters is whether what emerges feels meaningful, thought-provoking or useful to you.

I approach past-life regression with curiosity rather than certainty. I am not trying to prove what an experience is, or tell you how you should interpret it.

My role is to guide the process carefully, help you stay connected to what is emerging, and give you space to explore the images, feelings, relationships and meanings that appear.

Whatever emerges, we can stay interested in the experience itself and in what, if anything, it seems to illuminate for you now.

How I approach the work

Where this began for me

Past-life regression has a particular place in my own story because, in many ways, this is where my work with people began.

I was working with regression long before I developed the broader psychotherapeutic approach that now forms most of my practice. My thinking has changed and developed considerably since then, but I have never felt the need to dismiss this part of where I started.

I recognise that past-life regression sits outside mainstream evidence-based psychotherapy, and I don’t present what emerges as proof that a previous life actually occurred. What continues to interest me is the experience itself — the imagery, emotions, relationships, stories and meanings that can emerge when the mind is given permission to explore in this way.

For me, it remains a valid way of becoming curious about ourselves and sometimes discovering something we hadn’t expected to find.

Session Format

We begin with some time to talk about what has brought you to the session, what you are curious about, and anything you would particularly like to explore.

I will then guide you gradually into a relaxed, focused state and invite you to follow whatever images, impressions, feelings or experiences begin to emerge. There is no need to force anything or try to produce a particular kind of experience.

I stay with you throughout, asking questions where useful and allowing the experience to unfold at its own pace.

Afterwards, we leave time to come fully out of the experience, talk about what happened, and reflect on anything that feels significant.

Sessions & fees

Past-Life Regression session
90 minutes · £95

Sessions take place online via Zoom. I allow up to two hours in the diary so the experience does not need to be rushed and there is plenty of time to talk before and afterwards.

With your agreement, I can record the session through Zoom and make the recording available for you to download afterwards.

Practical Information

Online sessions

Sessions take place online via Zoom. You will receive a private link to join the session.

Your space

Choose somewhere private, comfortable and unlikely to be interrupted. You may prefer to sit in a supportive chair or recline somewhere comfortable, provided you are safely positioned and I can still see and hear you clearly.

Internet connection

A stable internet connection is particularly important for past-life regression because repeated interruptions can disrupt your concentration and the flow of the experience.

Zoom can operate a one-to-one 720p video call at around 1.2 Mbps upload and download, but for a regression session I recommend having at least 5 Mbps upload and 5 Mbps download available to the device you are using, with 10 Mbps or more in each direction preferable where possible. These higher figures provide useful additional headroom rather than representing Zoom’s minimum requirement.

Before your session, it is worth running an internet speed test. Where possible, use a wired connection or strong Wi-Fi, stay reasonably close to your router, and pause streaming, large downloads, cloud backups or other bandwidth-heavy activity.

Connection stability is at least as important as headline speed. Frequent freezing, distorted audio, drop-outs or an unstable-network warning suggest that the connection may need improving before we begin.

Camera and device

A computer or tablet is usually preferable to a phone because it is easier to position securely. Set your device somewhere stable where I can see you comfortably throughout the session, and make sure it is charged or plugged in.

Headphones and sound

Headphones are recommended where practical because they can reduce outside distractions and make it easier to remain absorbed in the experience, although they are not essential. Use whichever arrangement allows you to hear comfortably and relax. If you use headphones, make sure they are comfortable enough to wear throughout the session.

Comfort and interruptions

Use the bathroom beforehand if you need to, have some water nearby, and let anyone else in your home know that you do not want to be disturbed. Phones, doorbells, notifications and pets can interrupt the experience, so minimise these where reasonably possible.

If the connection is interrupted

If the internet connection drops during the regression, there is no need to worry. You cannot become trapped in hypnosis. You can simply allow yourself to return to ordinary awareness while we reconnect.

We will normally try to reconnect and continue when possible, and we can agree a simple backup plan before beginning.

Safety while joining

Please join from somewhere safe and stationary. Regression should not be undertaken while driving, operating machinery, supervising something that requires your attention, or in any situation where becoming deeply absorbed would be unsafe.

Medication, alcohol and recreational drugs

Please do not attend while intoxicated or significantly impaired by alcohol or recreational drugs.

If prescribed medication affects your alertness, concentration or level of consciousness, let me know beforehand so we can consider whether the session should go ahead. You should not alter or stop prescribed medication for the purpose of a regression session.

Frequency

Past-life regression is usually approached as a standalone exploratory experience rather than a regular programme of therapy.

Some people choose to have more than one regression over time, perhaps because they want to explore something further or are curious about another experience, but there is no expectation that sessions should be repeated at a particular interval. If you would like another session, we can discuss when it feels appropriate.

Recording

With your agreement, I will record the session through Zoom and make the recording available for you to download afterwards.

Because the recording may contain personal and sensitive material, I will explain how it is handled and how long any retained copy is kept before we begin.

After the session

A regression can sometimes leave you feeling reflective, emotional, relaxed or absorbed in what you have experienced. Where possible, avoid scheduling something demanding immediately afterwards and allow yourself a little time to settle and reflect.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel or rearrange a session, please give at least 24 hours’ notice. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are normally charged in full, although I recognise that genuine emergencies sometimes happen.

Confidentiality

What you share during the session is treated confidentially. There are, however, some limited circumstances in which I may need to share information without your consent.

These can include situations where I believe there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, where there are safeguarding concerns involving a child or vulnerable adult, or where I am legally required to disclose information.

I also discuss my work in professional supervision. Wherever possible, identifying details are removed, and supervision forms part of the normal professional framework for safe therapeutic practice.

If I ever believed confidentiality needed to be broken, I would normally discuss this with you first wherever it was safe and legally possible to do so.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to believe in past lives?

No. You can approach the experience spiritually, psychologically, symbolically, imaginatively, or simply with curiosity. You do not need to decide beforehand what you believe it represents.

Will I be asleep or out of control?

No. You remain aware of what is happening and can speak, question something, change direction or stop at any point.

What if nothing happens?

There is no particular experience you have to produce. Some people experience vivid scenes, others receive fragments, feelings, impressions or very little at first. We work with whatever emerges rather than forcing an experience.

What if something upsetting arises?

We approach anything that emerges carefully and at a pace that feels manageable. You remain in control throughout, and we can pause, step back or stop whenever needed.

Can the session be recorded?

Yes. I can record your session through Zoom and, once the recording has been processed, make it available for you to download and keep.

Is past-life regression suitable for me?

Past-life regression may suit you if you are curious about the experience and comfortable approaching whatever emerges with openness rather than needing to know in advance exactly what it means.

You do not need to hold any particular belief about past lives. What matters more is a willingness to engage with the experience and allow your own understanding of it to develop.

This service is not suitable if you are currently in crisis, at significant risk of harming yourself or someone else, experiencing active psychosis, significantly impaired by alcohol or drugs, or need a level of specialist psychiatric or multidisciplinary support that I do not provide.

Because the work is online and can be quite absorbing, you will also need somewhere safe, private and unlikely to be interrupted. If you are already receiving psychotherapy or counselling elsewhere, please let me know before booking.

If you are unsure whether regression is appropriate for you, you are welcome to ask first.

Beginning

You don’t need to know what you believe about past-life regression before you begin. You can book a session directly, and we’ll start by talking through the experience and making sure you feel comfortable with the process.

If you would prefer to talk first, you can book a free 20-minute initial conversation to ask questions, tell me a little about what you are looking for, and get a sense of whether working together feels right. There is no obligation to continue afterwards.
