Psychotherapy
Sometimes the way we have learned to live stops feeling like the way we want to live. Psychotherapy offers a place to understand how you got here, what you are carrying, and what might begin to change.
A place to start from where you are
You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what you want to change or even how to explain what is happening.
We can begin with whatever feels most present — something difficult, something confusing, a pattern you keep noticing, or simply a sense that life does not feel quite as you want it to.
From there, we can start to understand what is going on and what may be asking for your attention.

Understanding what has shaped you
None of us arrive at the present moment from nowhere. The ways we think, feel, relate and protect ourselves have usually developed for reasons that made sense somewhere along the way.
Therapy can help us look at those patterns with more curiosity and less judgement. When we begin to understand where something came from, it can stop feeling quite so random, confusing or fixed.
That understanding can sometimes be enough to shift something in us. At other times, it gives us a clearer starting point for deciding what we want to do differently.
Understanding and change
Understanding can be therapeutic in itself. Sometimes, when something previously confusing or unresolved begins to make sense, it starts to settle differently inside us and no longer carries quite the same weight.
At other times, change needs something more active. We might work with particular habits, responses, fears, boundaries or choices, using exercises, practices or experiments alongside the therapy.
Often both processes happen together: something shifts internally while we also begin to respond differently in our lives.

What might we explore?
There is no fixed list of things you need to bring to therapy.
We might explore anxiety, relationships, loss, confidence, identity, difficult experiences, recurring patterns, questions about who you are, or a sense that something in your life needs to change.
Sometimes the issue is very clear. Sometimes it is only a feeling that something is not quite right.
We can begin with whatever feels most important and allow the work to develop from there.
Ways we can work together in psychotherapy
There is no single right way to begin. You can book one session, choose a little more continuity with four sessions in advance, or work with me through ongoing private messaging.
Psychotherapy Session
60 minutes · £70 · Online via Zoom
Sometimes you simply need somewhere to begin.
An individual psychotherapy session gives us a full hour to explore whatever feels most important to you — something specific you want help with, a pattern you are beginning to notice, or simply a sense that something in your life needs more attention.
Sessions take place online via Zoom, so you can join from a private space where you feel comfortable and are unlikely to be disturbed.
You can book a single session without committing to ongoing therapy. If you decide that continuing would be useful, sessions are often weekly, but the frequency can be shaped around what works for you and the work we are doing.

Four-session booking
4 × 60 minutes · £260 total · £65 per session · Online via Zoom
If you already know that you would like a little continuity, you can book four psychotherapy sessions in advance at a reduced rate.
Having several sessions set aside can give the work more room to develop. We can return to what emerges, notice patterns over time, and build on what we have already begun rather than treating each conversation as a standalone experience.
The four sessions are paid for in advance and can be used within one year. If you decide not to use all four, the unused sessions are non-refundable.
Therapy through private messaging
£150 per month · Monday–Friday · Private Zoom messaging
Sometimes it is easier to write than to talk. Writing can give you more time to notice what you are thinking, find the words for something difficult, and return to the conversation when something new occurs to you.
The monthly private messaging service offers an ongoing therapeutic conversation through private Zoom messaging. You can write when it suits you, and I will read and respond at least twice each weekday, Monday to Friday.
Because the conversation develops across days rather than within a single hour, there is more space for reflection, for things to settle, and for us to return to what is emerging over time.
This is a recurring monthly subscription and is separate from live psychotherapy sessions. It is not an instant-response or crisis service.

Not sure which approach is right for you? You can book a free 20-minute initial conversation to ask questions and get a sense of where might be best to begin.
Questions you might have
Please read before booking
Therapy with me is intended for people who are able to take part in reflective, online therapeutic work.
This service is not suitable if you are currently in crisis, at significant risk of harming yourself or someone else, experiencing active psychosis, significantly impaired by alcohol or drugs, or need specialist psychiatric or multidisciplinary support that I do not provide.
If you are already receiving psychotherapy or counselling elsewhere, please let me know before booking so we can consider whether the two forms of support can work alongside one another appropriately.
If you are unsure whether working with me is suitable for you, you are welcome to ask before booking.
Beginning
You don’t need to have everything worked out before you begin.
If you feel ready, you can book a psychotherapy session directly. If you would prefer to talk first, you can book a free 20-minute initial conversation to ask questions, tell me a little about what you are looking for, and get a sense of whether working together feels right.
There is no obligation to continue afterwards.
