Frequently Asked Questions

A few practical questions you might have before getting in touch or beginning our work together.

Questions you might have

How do I know which type of support is right for me?

You don’t need to decide before contacting me. We can start with what brings you here and consider together what might be most useful.

Do sessions take place online?

Yes. Psychotherapy and hypnotherapy sessions take place online, so you can join from your own private space.

How often would we meet?

There isn’t one frequency that suits everyone. We can discuss what feels appropriate for what you’re looking for and adjust this as the work develops.

What is Private Messaging?

Private Messaging is an ongoing conversation through writing. It can suit people who prefer time to think and put things into words rather than having all of the conversation in a live session. I respond once or twice each weekday, Monday to Friday.

Can I combine different ways of working?

Yes, where it seems useful. Our work doesn’t have to fit rigidly into one approach. For example, hypnosis might sometimes form part of broader therapeutic work if we both feel it would be helpful.

What happens if I need to cancel a session?

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or rearrange. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged at the full session fee.

What if I’m not sure whether you’re the right person for me?

That’s completely reasonable. Getting in touch doesn’t commit you to working with me. We can have an initial conversation and see whether it feels like a good fit.

How do I get started?

You can simply get in touch and tell me a little about what brings you here. You don’t need to explain everything or know what kind of support you need.

Still have a question?

If there’s something you’re unsure about, you’re welcome to get in touch and ask.
